Yoga / Meditation

Buddha im Ayurveda Haus

On request we can also offer you Meditation and Yoga.
We consider Meditation and Yoga to be an exercise for body, concentration and breathing and they are not based on religion or dogmatic practices.

Meditation means a general retreat from yourself, away from active life and towards a calm state of awareness.
Through Yoga we can bring our body and our senses in balance.

Yoga was originally a purely spiritual method and was primarily enlightenment achieved through meditation.
Over the course of time the main objective of the many Ansas became more prevalent, that being to strengthen and mobilise the body so that it would be possible to remain in a meditative position (Lotus) for long periods of time without any discomfort.
In time the positive effects of these physical exercises on our general well being became more and more recognised. Nowadays, the physical activity of Yoga is more significant than ever.

Even though the roots of Yoga lie in Hinduism, Yoga is still practiced in different religions and philosophies.
Although the main purpose is actually to follow a spiritual path to enlightenment, in Europe and North America that is only partly the case.  Yoga, however, does not oppose other religions.

Today, Yoga exercises mostly follow an holistic approach to bring body, mind and soul in harmony.
Above all, Yoga is promoted in the western world as a combination of deep relaxation, breathing exercises and meditation. The exercises should improve the cooperation between body, mind, soul and breathing. The aim is to improve vitality and at the same time maintain inner serenity.
The combination of posture, movement, inner concentration, breathing as well as the use of MANTRAS and MUDRAS (Posture in connection with hand gestures/finger yoga) should stimulate life energy so that it rises to the chakra within the chemistry of the spine.
